On the day before Independence Day
July 3, 2008So yeah, hi. I’m here, yay… Oh, I just sound so very enthused, don’t I?
Well, this my first post here on WordPress; I suppose you could call this an introduction of sorts… So let’s see…
I’m 20 years old, female, a student at Portland Community College in Portland, Oregon (though I live in St. Helens, Oregon) though at the moment I’m only taking a GED prep class… but after I get my GED I plan on doing the whole college thing and get a degree in English and travel abroad to teach. I think that’ll be a good excuse to travel and learn new languages.
Speaking of, I’m currently learning Mandarin Chinese, and I’ve just started taking baby steps to start learning Spanish. There are several other languages I would one day like to learn, such as Japanese, Cantonese, French and Italian but for now I’ll stick to the ones I’m already focusing on. =)
I’m also a slight computer geek; my system dual-boots Windows and Ubuntu. And if I’d ever stop getting errors I’d install Fedora 9 as well to see how far they’ve come recently; but for some strange reason, the CD’s just don’t want to let me install; and the DVD drive on my computer is broken (and isn’t a burner; it just – used to – play them) so I can’t use the install DVD…
Oh well, anyways… I think I’m done for now and I’ll come back to babble some more at a later time.
